WorldTour Competition 2015
Written by DZI (2015-01-19 11:51)

You've already been tested slightly for the Tour Down Under and, with a little luck, seen the first race images of the new professional cycling year. The CyclingFever WorldTour Competition concerns all the official UCI WorldTour races on the calendar, starting with Paris - Nice. As the Tour of Beijing is no longer part of the WorldTour, our year now has a very traditional ending with "Il Lombardia", the race of the falling leaves.

Our competition is built on two fantasy game-pillars. The Main Competition allows you to construct your own 65 rider team. You can use these 65 riders all year in the races they start in. Sometimes you'll not have enough riders, sometimes you'll have too many - and which of those will give you the best result? The rest is quite simple, the daily stage dictates the type of rider you will use to get your highest possible score. And that could lead to immortal honour!

The other pillar is the Stage Competition. The concept is even easier. You can select twelve riders for every stage. That's it. You can choose any available rider for that race, and that's including the Professional Continental Teams that were invited to the race.
There's only one exception: Team Time Trials do not count for our competitions, so there's no need to create a team for those stages.
It's up to you to enter both our competitions or just one. Playing our fantasy games is free of charge, but you do have to create an account first to play along.

All points earned in the Main Competition will be added up after each stage, for which a General Classification will be available. In the Stage Competition your best eighty scores are added up into the GC. Both results are added to the Year- and Global Ranking. Start Lists and such will all be provided by CyclingFever, so all necessary riders will be available in time for the races.

We wish you an excellent fantasy cycling year - and may the best man (or woman) win!

I am under the impression that points are awarded only on the basis of stage placings. Please clarify if and how points are awarded for the General Classification. Thanks MB
